iPad Air Charging Port Replacement Repair Description
The iPad Air charging port is located on the bottom middle of the device underneath the home button. Symptoms of the charging port on the iPad Air going bad is usually when you have to wiggle the cable to get the iPad to charge. The device may also charge with only one cable or not at all. Charging may be intermittent as well. Unfortunately, on the iPad Air, the lightning port or charging port flex is soldered onto the logic board. It is not a modular part like the screen, LCD or headphone jack. Due to the microsoldering needed to replace the lightning port, we require 1 business day to repair the device. As with many logic board level repairs, they are not always fixable. If that is the case, even if we have worked on your device, we will not charge you if we can't get your device to take a charge.
