The cooling fan in your Xbox Series X/S plugs into a tiny connector that is soldered to the motherboard. It's easy to tear that connector right off the board when you unplug the fan, usually during a DIY cleaning, and once it's gone the fan can't get power. The console then overheats and shuts off, or won't stay on at all.

Don't try to glue it.
Glue or tape can't carry power to the fan reliably, and running the console without its fan can damage the processor. Leave the console unplugged until it's fixed.
