iPad Air 3 Repairs (10.5-inch, 2019)
Cracked screen, a dying battery or a Home button that won't click? We repair the iPad Air 3 (10.5-inch, 2019) at our Mission Viejo shop, with upfront prices listed below.
- Compatible models: A2152 (Wi-Fi) | A2123, A2153, A2154 (Wi-Fi + Cellular). The model number is in the fine print on the back of your iPad, under the word "iPad".
- One screen repair: The iPad Air 3 has a laminated display, so the glass and the LCD are one part. Whether the glass is cracked or the picture is damaged, the Screen Replacement fixes it for $229.
- Touch ID: Touch ID is in the Home button. When we replace the screen, we move your original Home button over, so Touch ID keeps working.
- Service options: By appointment at our Mission Viejo shop, or nationwide mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
iPad Air 3 Repair FAQs
Will Touch ID still work after a repair?
Yes, for screen, battery, camera and almost every other repair. On the iPad Air 3, Touch ID is in the Home button, and when we replace the screen we move your original Home button to the new one. The only time Touch ID can stop working is if the Home button itself is broken and has to be replaced, because Apple pairs each Touch ID sensor to its iPad's logic board. We'll tell you before we start.
Which Apple Pencil works with the new screen?
The replacement screen works with the same Apple Pencil as the original: Apple Pencil (1st generation). Apple Pencil (2nd generation), Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Apple Pencil Pro don't work with the iPad Air 3.
How do I tell an iPad Air 3 from an iPad Pro 10.5-inch?
They're the same size and both have a Home button, so check the back. The iPad Pro 10.5-inch has a camera bump with a flash next to it and four speaker grilles; the iPad Air 3 has a single flush camera with no flash. The model number on the back under the word "iPad" or in Settings > General > About tells you for sure: iPad Air 3 is A2152, A2123, A2153 or A2154; iPad Pro 10.5-inch is A1701, A1709 or A1852.
Is it worth fixing an iPad Air 3 in 2026?
Usually, yes. Most iPad Air 3 repairs cost $79 to $139, far less than a new iPad Air, and the A12 Bionic chip still handles everyday apps, streaming, video calls and schoolwork. If it needs several repairs at once, call or text us and we'll help you decide.
How long does an iPad Air 3 repair take?
Screen replacements take 2-3 hours, same day, at our Mission Viejo shop in South Orange County. Battery, camera, lens, microphone, headphone jack and button repairs take 1 business day, because the screen has to come off and the adhesive needs time to cure. For mail-in repairs, add shipping time both ways.
